About Me.

Hi! I’m Caroline. I am originally from Richmond, Virginia, but I have also lived in New York and North Carolina. After the birth of my son, I felt compelled to share what I know and felt called to offer guidance and, more importantly, encouragement to those around me who are preparing for birth.

After being told over and over, “Hey, you should be a doula!” through offering prenatal support and education among friends and family, I decided to sign up for a training, a 12-week full-spectrum (covering all areas of reproductive health) course through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings.

My biggest takeaway from the program was bolstered knowledge of trauma-informed care. Combined with my background in yoga - I am an RYT 200 - I feel I now have a really strong foundation in offering high-level emotional support. Much of my training as a yogi was the study of non-violent communication, a gentle but powerful force that has come in handy in birthwork.

This practice is ever-evolving but firmly rooted in my love of community care and belief that well-being is a rite for us all. My hope in my work is to pay homage to those who came before me and to give back powerful, peace-filled energy whenever supporting a birth. I see this work as something necessary to heal our communities. Everyone deserves a really awesome start where they feel centered and empowered.
